From gift shops and cafés to galleries and book havens, Ayrshire’s independent businesses are the heartbeat of our towns. As a local, independent estate agency, we’re proud to champion them. Here are a few Ayrshire independents we love — starting with our neighbours in Troon.

1. C.O.A.S.T Gifts & Gallery — Troon
A warm and inspiring gallery showcasing Scottish art, ceramics, jewellery and unique gifts. Just a few steps from our office, and run by passionate locals, C.O.A.S.T brings creativity and colour to Ayr Street. We’re lucky to have them as neighbours.

2. The Keekin’ Glass — Prestwick
A stunning independent gift shop with Scottish makers, home décor and meaningful finds. Especially personal for us — Martin once owned a travel business in this very unit, making its success feel wonderfully full-circle.

3. Wee Josie’s — Ayr
A much-loved family-run café offering homemade meals, great value and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. A true Ayr favourite. No doubt they are negatively impacted by the on-going work at this end of Ayr High Street so pop in and show them some love.

4. GRO Coffee — Irvine
A stylish harbourfront independent café known for speciality coffee, fresh bakes and a relaxed community vibe. Dog-friendly and always buzzing.

5. The Coffee Pot — Cumnock
A cosy, familiar café serving hearty meals and homemade baking. This one is special — Martin's mum Flo used to love a baked tattie or a bit of fish from the coffee pot. Truly recommended as it still feels comforting and full of warmth.

6. Boss Kitchen — Auchinleck
Easily the newest business highlighted here but for good reason. A brilliant independent café with great food, friendly staff and excellent reviews. Open for less than two years but already a firm Auchinleck favourite.

7. Viking Café — Saltcoats
Independent, award-winning and loved by locals, Viking Café offers bold flavours, generous portions and brilliant service. Next time you are in Saltcoats why not give it a go?

8. Craft Town Scotland & The Barony Centre — West Kilbride
Very much a community effort this is a celebration of local creativity, filled with makers’ studios, workshops and the beautiful Barony Centre. If you are driving up the west coast then a short trip takes you to the Barony Centre and the local studio's at Craft Town Scotland - West Kilbride.

9. Fiducia Financial Services - Troon
Whether you're a first-time buyer, a self-employed individual, or someone looking to re-mortgage, Kris at Fiducia has got the expertise to assist you! Based in Troon but covering Scotland he comes highly recommended by us and his 5 star reviews speak for themselves.
Why We Support Local
Supporting independent businesses means supporting real people, real families and real communities. These are the places that give Ayrshire its heart.
And as an independent estate agency, we’re proud to champion them — always.
